JuJu Watkins is among the athletes to experience the thrill of the 2024 Paris Olympics firsthand and up close. 2023's top women's basketball recruit uploaded a set of images from her trip to share with her fans.
Alongside photos of Simone Biles, Watkins included images of Stade de France, the Eiffel Tower and Ratatouille's Remy.
"Was happy to be in Paris 😌," JuJu Watkins captioned the post.
While fans loved Watkins' Paris trip, her USC Trojans teammates lined up in the comment section to flood the point guard's post:
"Oui💅🏼," USC's true freshman Rian Forestier commented.
“Okay ponytail 💅🏽,” sophomore guard Malia Samuels quipped.
“Face card😍😍,” Stanford Cardinals transfer Kiki Iriafen commented.
“Oui oui 😮💨,” USC’s promising 2024 commit Laura Williams added.
USC athletes like Skylar Fields, Jessica Sims, Tayla Harris, Bone Collector and others also joined in as Watkins' teammates stormed the show:
“Took my breath away,” redshirt senior India Otto wrote on Juju Watkins’ post before following up with, “exquisite vibes and fits.”
“Loveeee love love,” Monteverde product Vivian Iwuchukwu joined in.
“Foreign babeeeee,” senior and former UCLA Bruins player Dominique Darius added.
"Cutieeeee🥰," another first-year player, Kayleigh Heckel, wrote.
JuJu Watkins' next goal is to participate in the Olympics
Fans might expect JuJu Watkins’ latest Paris visit to be her last Olympics summarization post, at least as a spectator. The USC guard aims at participating in the 2028 Olympics which are aligned to be organized in her hometown of Los Angeles.
“That’s definitely a long-term goal of mine when I get done with my college career,” Watkins said in an interview with the Associated Press in June. “Definitely something I’m looking forward to and having the chance to do that in my city would definitely be a dream come true.”
Watkins should be in the WNBA by the next Olympics and could make either the 5x5 Team USA squad or help the program redeem its 3x3 glory.
She already has a pre-existing history with the national program, having won golds in the 2021 FIBA Americas U16 Championship and 2022 FIBA U17 World Cup, earning MVP and All-Star Five honors in both.
