Fans have mixed feelings as Dawn Staley makes elite fashion list ft LeBron James and Angel Reese: Expensive ≠ stylish

The South Carolina coach is known for her bold fashion, often wearing designer brands like Louis Vuitton for game days. She joined former LSU star Angel Reese and NBA father-son duo, LeBron and Bronny James on this list.

On Saturday, trendyhoopstars shared the news on X, but it received mixed reactions from fans.

Some fans pointed out that wearing a high-end fashion brand does not always mean that the person is stylish.

Dawn Staley's South Carolina prepares for the heavyweight clash against TCU

After an undefeated season last year, South Carolina lost their first game against UCLA in November. The Gamecocks have since regrouped and gone on a three-game winning streak. A tough test lies ahead for Dawn Staley as they prepare to play against Hailey Van Lith's TCU Horned Frogs.

TCU is on a nine-game winning streak as a fired-up Van Lith hopes to make the best of her final season. Commenting on the clash, Dawn Staley said:

"Well, we know Hailey [Van Lith], for one. [We] played against her when she was at Louisville, played against when she was at LSU.

"She’s more, like, in the Louisville...she’s in that mode to where she’s calling on to do a lot of things for their basketball team, so you got to go back and look at the Louisville scout and see the types of things that we did to have an impact on her inability to get clean looks," she continued.

Dawn Staley's team is coming off a big 81-70 win over No. 8 Duke on Thursday. Chloe Kitts showed out with a 21-point, 11-rebound double-double to lead the Gamecocks.
