Fans react to Dawn Staley's meetup snap with rapper Pharrell Williams at Vogue World: "Those coaches could never"

The South Carolina Gamecocks head coach, Dawn Staley, attended the Vogue World, a runway show that took place at City Square, in Paris. Fans reacted to her photograph alongside rapper and creative director of Louis Vuitton, Pharrell Williams, during the show.

The historic site of Place Vendôme was converted into a catwalk by the mega-magazine company to celebrate 100 years of French fashion. Guests from the entertainment and sports industry were invited to attend the show.

The fashion show comes a month before the city hosts this year's Olympic Games. Thus, it was fitting that different sports were used as backdrops for each decade. Part of the guest list was the three-time national championship-winning former WNBA star and current head coach of the Gamecocks, Dawn Staley.

She uploaded a series of pictures with the "Happy" singer, who gifted her a classic LV duffle bag. When fans saw the post, they could not stop themselves from writing positive comments.

"This one here deserves its own space [Pharrell Williams it was a true pleasure meeting you and your genius! And Helen. And s/o security brother for allowing me to get close enough to meet and thank Pharrell in person for “the bag.” Your energy is infectious," Staley wrote on Instagram.

When Dawn Staley received a shoutout from Beyoncé

After she won her third national championship title, Dawn Staley received a special shoutout from Beyoncé, who also sent her a card, a bouquet, and merchandise items from her album "Cowboy Carter."

In a video, Staley read out loud Beyonce's message for her:

“To Coach Staley and the entire South Carolina Gamecocks, me and my family watched your games and cheered you on through the entire season. I am so proud of you. All my love." [0:20-0:48]

Staley then thanked the 42-year-old pop star and her husband Jay Z. The South Carolina Gamecocks HC will be prepared for the upcoming basketball season and will aim to add another NCAAW title to her list of accolades.
