JuJu Watkins led the USC Trojans to their 10th consecutive win on Sunday night, crushing the Rutgers Scarlet Knights 92-42 in their Big Ten clash at Jersey Mike's Arena. Watkins' double-double performance drew mixed reactions from college hoops fans, with some praising her showing and others pointing out flaws.

Watkins scored 23 points and grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds against Rutgers to record her first double-double since Nov. 4. She previously achieved that feat in USC's season opener against the Ole Miss Rebels in France, with Watkins recording 27 points and 10 boards in the Trojans' 68-66 win.

College hoops fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to discuss Watkins' performance against the Scarlet Knights, who were without star player Kiyomi McMiller. The Rutgers freshman missed the contest as a result of coach Coquese Washington's decision to bench her.

"8/23, 3 turnovers, 4 assists. Garbage play in garbage time against garbage team," one fan wrote.
"So we all agree stat padding is now ok for everyone. No more giving Angel Reese crap when JuJu is playing with a 50 point lead. Ok with me," one fan replied.
"34.8 FG % by the way," one fan noted.

However, other fans were complimentary.

"Could watch her highlights all day," one fan said.
"Keep balling 👑," another commented.

Here are some other reactions.

"8-23, 3-9 against a bad team. I expect more for all the glazing on this app," one fan posted.
"Playing the 4th quarter while up 50 is insane. USC coach should be embarrassed," one fan replied.
"Juju bringing the HEAT 🔥" another said.

Watkins played extended minutes against Rutgers despite USC enjoying a massive 69-24 lead entering the fourth quarter. She exited the game with 3:50 remaining in the final period after giving the Trojans an 84-35 advantage.

JuJu Watkins continues scoring spree in win over Rutgers

JuJu Watkins has been a vital cog for the Trojans on the offensive end, scoring at least 20 points in 14 of the 15 games she has played for No. 4 USC thus far this season. She is third in the nation in scoring, averaging 25.1 points. Watkins only trails Florida State's Ta'Niya Latson and Notre Dame's Hannah Hidalgo in that department.

She had to work hard for her points against Rutgers, making just eight of her 23 field-goal attempts. It was the first time this season that Watkins shot below 35% in a game.
