Hanna Cavinder is playing her final season with the Miami Hurricanes, and she is working hard to be in peak shape for her performances on the court. The guard, alongside her twin sister Haley, regularly shares her meal plans and workout sessions to help fans also stay in shape.
On Thursday, Hanna shared an update on her progress via her Instagram story.
"Feeling so lean & energized!!! have been in a mini cut and feeling so good. Haley & I both track out macros and prioritize a high protein diet!! going to be posting a WIEIAD (What I Eat In A Day) this week," she wrote along with a mirror selfie showing off her abs.
Haley and Hanna Cavinder are open with their fans about their struggles with weight and body dysmorphia. They advocate healthy eating habits via their shared Instagram account. In November, the twins spoke about their evolving relationship with food.
Sharing a video of growth over the years, they wrote:
"It took us years to understand that “less” is never the answer. Restriction and starving yourself can lead to many health issues that we are still dealing with today. We were both creatures of habit (almost too much) which caused us to create negative health problems and a restrict, restrict, restrict mentality for years."
"Finally, we found help, and after over a year of recovering from our eating disorder and fueling our bodies with the right nutrition, we are back on track 👏🏻."
Hanna Cavinder's Miami extends losing streak after successful start
The Miami Hurricanes had one of the best starts to the season as they posted a seven-game winning streak. After one loss against Vanderbilt, they gained their form and won the next four games.
The year-end game against North Carolina marked the decline for the Hurricanes and they are now enduring a five-game losing streak. They lost Thursday's clash against Boston College 83-79.
Haley and Hanna Cavinder led Miami on an Elite Eight run during their senior season and that was the goal when they chose to return in 2024. However, the Hurricanes' (11-6) current form does not give them a legitimate chance at the NCAA Tournament.
Hanna Cavinder is averaging 7.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists. Miami returns to action on Sunday in an important clash against in-state rivals Florida State.
