Flau'jae Johnson and No. 5-ranked LSU remained undefeated this season with a 94-88 overtime victory over Stanford on Thursday. The junior guard took to social media on Friday to praise her teammate, Mikaylah Williams, who was arguably the best player for the Tigers against the Cardinal.

Johnson reshared Everbowl Baton Rouge's story, which featured a photo of herself celebrating with Williams from the LSU women's basketball account, along with a one-word caption.

"@mkwill12_ island," Johnson wrote.

Williams, who was named the SEC Freshman of the Year last season, kept the Tigers in the hunt despite facing a 13-point deficit after the first quarter. She forced overtime after hitting a jumper with four seconds left.

Williams then made two 3-pointers in OT, ensuring that the Tigers picked up their 10th win of the season. She finished the game with 32 points and nine rebounds. She also made five 3-pointers and on 12 of 18 shooting.

Flau'jae Johnson continued her excellent start to her junior season, backing up Williams against the Cardinal. She finished with 21 points, three rebounds and six assists in 41 minutes.

Johnson is averaging 22.2 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists this season, establishing herself as one of the most important players of Tigers coach Kim Mulkey.

Kailyn Gilbert had a strong scoring performance off the bench, finishing with 25 points and four assists in 35 minutes. Like Williams, senior guard Aneesah Morrow narrowly missed out on a double-double, recording eight points and 16 rebounds.

Although the Tigers have only faced one ranked opponent so far, they are steadily establishing themselves as contenders for the national championship. They will travel to Bossier City to face the Grambling State Tigers on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. ET.
