Flau'jae Johnson hyped up the Los Angeles Sparks' Rickea Jackson for her ballistic performance in the inaugural game of the Unrivaled League. Jackson scored 15 points, two rebounds, two steals and one assist for the Mist BC against the Lunar Owls.

However, Jackson had fans on their toes when she scored four back-to-back buckets at the end of the third quarter, scoring nine points off her hot hand. Johnson commented about the performance via her X, waiting:

"THERE GO RICKEA."

Rickea Jackson's heroics came up short as the Owls won the contest 84-80. Even though the game was fast-paced throughout the regulation, the fourth quarter showcased higher intense pace and physicality.

Skylar Diggins-Smith took on the offensive load with 21 points and dropped back-to-back three-pointers to snatch the game out of Mist's hands.

Currently lacing up for the LSU Tigers, Flau'jae Johnson is assumed to step into an Unrivaled jersey in the coming years. She followed Paige Bueckers in signing a NIL deal with the league last year, becoming the second NCAA athlete associated with the WNBA offseason league.

The terms of her deal are undisclosed but like Bueckers, Johnson will also receive receive an equity stake in the 3x3 league. She will spearhead marketing and promotional ventures for the brand throughout her college career.

LSU Tigers and Flau'jae Johnson are up for their toughest matchup of the season

The LSU Tigers (19-0, 4-0 Southeastern Conference) currently prepare to face Florida (11-8, 2-3 SEC) on Sunday. Flau'jae Johnson and the team will then suit up for its toughest contest of the season yet, facing the defending champions, No. 2 South Carolina Gamecocks, on the road on Jan. 23.

It will be LSU's third ranked game of the season. For Dawn Staley's crew, it will be the eighth ranked game of the season and fourth back-to-back.

The last time the two teams met was in the 2024 SEC Championships. While the Gamecocks won the contest 79-72, the game yielded several intense moments. One of them saw former USC big Kamilla Cardoso shoving Flau'jae Johnson to the floor in a heated exchange.
