Flau’jae Johnson’s mom Kia Brooks has 4 words for Colorado star Travis Hunter’s dominance vs Oklahoma State

Dominance can happen in any sport, usually followed by praise from fans of said sport, and sometimes from those who are involved with other sports. Colorado receiver Travis Hunter shined so bright on Friday that Flau'jae Johnson's mother offered her take on the young football star.

Hunter had a standout performance against the Oklahoma State Cowboys in a 52-0 shutout victory with the Colorado Buffaloes. He finished with 10 catches for 116 yards and three touchdowns while making an interception on the defensive side of the ball.

Kia Brooks, Johnson's mother, reacted to his performance on X (formerly Twitter), giving a short but clear four-worded take on Hunter being a star in the sport.

"Travis Hunter is HIM!!!" she said.

Like her mother, Flau'jae Johnson also showered praise on Travis Hunter's display on Friday.

She reacted to his performance with an Instagram story post, using just six words to indicate where she stands on his candidacy for the Heisman trophy.

"We've never seen this before Heisman," she said.

Similar to Hunter, Johnson has been a standout performer in the sport of women's basketball. In her third season with the No. 7 LSU Tigers, she is averaging 22.4 points, 7.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists on 54.5% shooting from the field and 39.4% from beyond the arc. Her last display against No. 20 North Carolina State on Nov. 27 saw her finish with a stat line of 16 points and three rebounds on 5-of-7 shooting from the field in 24 minutes of action en route to an 82-65 victory.

She has been a major contributor to the Tigers, going 8-0 to begin the 2024-25 season. On offense, they are scoring 89.3 points with shooting splits of 48.6% overall and 33.1% from downtown. On defense, they are only conceding 56.1 points while holding their opponents to 31.5% shooting from the field and 23.2% from deep.

Looking to go 9-0, Flau'jae Johnson and No. 7 LSU will host North Carolina Central at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on Dec. 1 at 3 p.m. ET.
