Flau'jae Johnson's Mom reacts after Kim Mulkey erupts in rage at officials over baffling decision: "You can't fake this, I'm riding with you coach"

Flau'jae Johnson's mother, Kim Brooks took time out to address Kim Mulkey's disagreement with one of the officiating decisions during the LSU Tigers' game against the UAlbany Great Danes on Sunday. The moment transpired when Johnson was called for a shooting foul against Kayla Cooper, handing UAlbany free throws.

Unhappy with the decision, Mulkey slammed her fist on the scorer's table to showcase her frustration. Kia Brooks, dedicated an Instagram post on Sunday to the coach and her passion for the game.

"Regardless of what others may say," Brooks wrote. "One thing is undeniable about our kid’s coach. Her genuine love for basketball and her players. Kim passion for the game is unmatched and truly inspiring. I love it and this how I want my kid coach going to war about mine. You can’t fake this ,I’m riding with you coach. 🤣💪🏾💜💛."

Like other iconic coaches such as Dan Hurley and John Calipari, Kim Mulkey also shares an illustrious history with referees and officiating. The latest instance comes a year after she received two technical fouls for arguing about a decision to give an offensive foul on guard Aneesah Morrow.

The situation escalated to a point where Angel Reese had to hold Mulkey back as she challenged the referees to force her out of the sidelines.

Kim Mulkey is an intense character. While basketball fans see it regularly, it was on full display for baseball fans in March 2024. The coach was asked to throw the first pitch during a Savannah Bananas game in Baton Rouge.

Instead of the usual "strike," the umpire suggested that Mulkey's throw was out by a small margin. The coach took no time in storming off the mound in anger and arguing with the umpire. She received a technical foul but it only enraged her more as she furiously kicked dirt while arguing with the umpire.

However, when she received the second tech (automatic ejection), the umpire and Mulkey shook hands, captivating the fans with their masterful execution of the prank.
