LSU guard Flau'jae Johnson's stepdad, Ameen Brooks, showed off LaMelo Ball's signature shoes he has for his sons. Brooks is clearly a big fan of Ball's on-court style as suggested by his recent Instagram posts.

On Monday, Brooks shared a short video on his Instagram story of his two young sons rocking colorful MB.04 kicks from LaMelo Ball's Puma signature line. The younger one was wearing a vibrant MB.04 Heem with a black-luminous pink-lime scheme while the older son had a yellow and blue pair on.

"We don't skip basketball day," Ameen wrote as the caption, "@melo gang !! literally.

Brooks often showcases his kids' sports-related activities on social media. He has shared footage of them working on their basketball skills and also participating in other sports like football.

Last week, Flau'jae Johnson's stepfather posted an Instagram video of his three children engaging in football drills.

"This the part that we tend to forget about “ da work “ instead of the results ‼️ what you put in that’s what you get out," he captioned the post.

Flau'jae Johnson's stepdad Ameen Brooks expresses excitement over LSU's conference play

Given Ameen Brooks' passion for sports, it is no surprise as he is extremely proud of his daughter Flau'jae Johnson and her success on the court.

Johnson, a 5-foot-10 native of Georgia, has been off to a solid start this season, averaging 19.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists while helping Kim Mulkey's Lady Tigers to a perfect 17-0 record.

Brooks, an entrepreneur and Flau'jae's road manager, took to Instagram to share his excitement over LSU's conference slate for 2025. He sent a special prayer blessing for his stepdaughter via an Instagram post.

"SEC PLAY IS HERE‼️💜💛 #mambamentality #big4 @flaujae - may Allah keep you in his merciful hands," the caption read.

Flau'jae Johnson and No. 6 LSU Tigers have already opened their SEC slate with a 2-0 start, defeating the Arkansas Razorbacks on Jan. 2 and then notched another win over Auburn on Sunday. They will now face their toughest test yet when they play the No. 16 Tennessee Volunteers on Thursday at Thompson–Boling Arena in Knoxville.

Considered one of the toughest conferences, the SEC is home to six teams ranked in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll, including No. 2 and defending national champion South Carolina, No. 5 Texas, No. 10 Oklahoma, No. 15 Kentucky and No. 18 Alabama.

The Tigers will play Dawn Staley’s Gamecocks in one of the highly anticipated marquee matchups on Jan. 23 at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, SC.
