Flau'Jae Johnson continued her solid 2024-25 women's college basketball season for LSU, churning efficient numbers to help the Lady Tigers clobber Arkansas 98-64 on Thursday at the Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville.
Johnson finished with a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Kim Mulkey-coached team, who raced to a 25-point, first-half advantage and didn't look back to secure its first win in the tough Southeastern Conference.
The basketball player-cum-rapper shot 5-of-12 from the field, including 1-of-2 from the 3-point line. The 5-foot-10 Savannah, Georgia native was perfect from the free-throw line, making all four attempts. Johnson also had three assists, three steals and one block in 26 minutes of action for LSU.
The guard was off to a good start in the first half, tallying eight points, five rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block. Her contributions helped LSU build a 51-26 advantage.
The Lady Tigers pounced on their attack in the third quarter, dropping 32 points for an 83-36 advantage. Johnson had seven points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal in that span.
She played three more minutes before sitting out the rest of the payoff period with the game was already decided.

The LSU Tigers opened their 2024-25 SEC regular season campaign with a bang, demolishing Arkansas and registering their first conference win and 16th straight overall.
Kailyn Gilbert came off the bench to lead the Kim Mulkey-coached squad with 16 points on 7-of-12 shooting, including 2-of-6 from the 3-point line.
Three other Lady Tigers players finished in double figures, with Flau'Jae Johnson adding 15 and Mikaylah Williams contributing 14. Aneesah Morrow chipped in with 11 points and 10 rebounds. It was Morrow's 88th double-double, tying for the fourth most in NCAA Division I history.
LSU shot 50% from the field, 39.1% from the 3-point line, and 84.6% from free throws.
LSU's defense limited Arkansas to 35.8% from the field and ruled the rebounding department, 48-32. The Lady Tigers also led other statistics, winning the assists (21-8), steals (14-9) and blocks (6-2), to complete their dominance.
LSU produced 36 fast break points and 44 inside points.
Izzy Higginbottom led the Razorbacks' offense with 27 points and Carly Keats added 18. Arkansas fell to their ninth loss in 16 games.
