Junior guard Flau’jae Johnson delivered a solid performance as the No. 6 LSU Tigers defeated the Auburn Tigers 73-63, extending their undefeated streak to 17 games.

The LSU standout maintained her streak of double-digit scoring in all 17 games this season, finishing with 12 points, one rebound and one steal in 27 minutes. Johnson shot 5-of-13 from the field and committed three turnovers.

In the first half, Johnson managed only two field goals on seven attempts with one rebound and one steal. However, her fastbreak bank shot in the second quarter gave LSU a 19-16 lead and sparked a pivotal 25-8 run that helped the Tigers recover from another sluggish start.

Johnson made a greater impact in the second half, opening the third quarter with four straight points and adding four more in the fourth quarter. One of her highlights included a euro-step layup through contact, extending LSU’s lead to 25 points.

Although LSU went 0-for-6 from beyond the arc—their first game of the season without a three-pointer—they received crucial contributions from backup guards Kailyn Gilbert (Arizona) and Mjracle Sheppard (Mississippi State), both acquired through the transfer portal.

LSU will face No. 15 Tennessee (13-1, 1-1) on the road this Thursday.

Flau’jae Johnson Secures New NIL Deal

Flau’jae Johnson has signed an equity deal with Unrivaled, a new 3-on-3 women’s basketball league, as part of her efforts to spotlight women’s sports.

Johnson is the second college athlete to partner with Unrivaled, following UConn’s Paige Bueckers.

Currently in her junior season at LSU, Johnson and Bueckers are not yet eligible to play in the league due to NCAA eligibility rules. However, Johnson’s NIL agreement grants her an equity stake in the league moving forward.

Unrivaled released a promotional video on social media Thursday featuring Johnson—who also has a growing career in rap—performing a song while wearing a shirt that reads, "The Future is Unrivaled." As part of the deal, Johnson will produce additional promotional content for the league.

Beyond her stake in Unrivaled, Johnson has endorsement deals with Meta, Amazon, Puma, Athlete’s Foot, and Powerade. On3 estimates her net worth at approximately $1.5 million. Johnson’s success, fueled by her dynamic personality and talents, positions her for continued growth as she prepares to enter the professional world.
