Flau'jae Johnson tallied 22 points, two assists, one steal and four blocks to propel No. 7 LSU to a dominant 131-44 win over North Carolina Central on Sunday at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, Lousiana.
Johnson shot 8 of 14, including 3 of 4 from the 3-point line, and made all three foul shots in 21 minutes for the Tigers, who improved to 7-0 at home and 9-0 overall. The guard failed to score in the first quarter, missing her two attempts but she recorded her first assist on a pass to Aneesah Morrow.
The Savannah, Georgia native scored her first points on a triple that gave LSU a 29-18 lead. This sparked a 40-0 run between the end of the first quarter and the start of the third period.
Johnson scored eight more points on a three-point play, a 3-point jumper and another in the succeeding minutes to give LSU a 63-18 lead at the half.
Johnson had eight points, one assist and two blocks in the fourth, including a layup that handed the Kim Mulkey-coached squad a 113-37 lead with 6:57 left. LSU had its biggest lead at 90 points in the payoff period before settling with a 131-44 result.

Flau'jae Johnson provided another efficient outing on Sunday, leading LSU's offense to a 131-44 pounding of still-winless NC Central.
Johnson led nine players in double figures and despite a rebound-less game, she thrived on defense for the Tigers, recording a steal and four blocks.
Kailyn Gilbert came off the bench to score 19 points while Aneesah Morrow added a 17-point, 11-rebound double-double to give Kim Mulkey her 100th career win as LSU coach.
Sa’Myah Smith (13), Last Tear-Poa (12), Mikaylah Williams (10), Jersey Wolfenbarger (10) and Jada Richard (10) also finished in double figures for the Tigers.
LSU shot 56.3% from the field and limited NC Central to 24.6%. The Tigers were given 39 attempts from the free-throw line, making 28. The 2023 national champions dominated all departments, grabbing a 58-35 edge on rebounds and a 23-3 dominance in steals. LSU led the assists (18-7) and blocks (9-3) stats to complete the rout.
The Tigers scored 53 points off turnovers and picked up 78 inside points. LSU will aim for their 10th straight win against Stanford on Thursday.
