Rob Dillingham had a strong true freshman season as a member of the Kentucky Wildcats. He received strong praise from former Manhattan Jaspers, St. John's Red Storm and New Mexico Lobos coach Fran Fraschilla ahead of the 2024 NBA draft.

The college basketball analyst and ESPN NBA draft insider tweeted:

"Inch for inch, I believe @KentuckyMBB Rob Dillingham is the most skilled player in this @NBADraft . His handle is Kyrie-like, shoots 44% from three and will never be afraid of the big moment. I think he’s going to trend towards @JCrossover -Lou Williams status some day."

Dillingham's draft stock has varied as he spent much of the predraft process battling an ankle injury. While he lacks the size that teams typically covet, his ability as a scorer and shooter gives him one of the highest ceilings in this year's draft. It remains to be seen where he will land; however, he appears to be a lock to hear his name called in the first round.

The four-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class averaged 15.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 47.5% from the field, 44.4% from 3-point range and 79.6% from the free-throw line in just 23.3 minutes.

Rob Dillingham reportedly in jeopardy of sliding in the 2024 NBA draft

Rob Dillingham appeared to be in a position to hear his name called in the lottery portion of the 2024 NBA Draft, with a high possibility of landing in the top 10. Just ahead of the beginning of the first round, however, a report from Jonathan Wasserman emerged that the former Kentucky Wildcats guard, along with Ron Holland, is in jeopardy of sliding.

The Dunk Central tweeted:

"Ron Holland and Rob Dillingham are in ‘jeopardy’ of sliding in the draft tonight, per @NBADraftWass."

There are several guards available in this year's draft; however, Dillingham and Holland were both viewed as potential top 10 picks. It's unclear how far down the board they are in danger of sliding. The first round of the 2024 NBA draft is underway; however, the second round will take place on Thursday, marking the first time the draft is split between two days.
