Ta'Niya Latson and Raiane Dias Dos Santos combined for 36 points to lead the Florida State Seminoles to an 88-66 victory over the Miami Hurricanes at the Tucker Center on Sunday.
Latson praised her teammate’s performance with a post on her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, sharing a two-word reaction alongside a clip of one of Dias Dos Santos’ highlight plays this season.
Latson posted a video of Dias Dos Santos draining a corner three and included a message to the Florida State player.
"My girl," Latson wrote with a heart emoji.
Dias Dos Santos provided quality minutes off the bench for FSU, scoring six points, dishing out five assists and grabbing three rebounds. She shot 2-for-6, including 1-for-4 from beyond the arc. She is averaging 3.3 points and 1.2 rebounds through 19 games this season.
In postgame press conference, a reporter asked Florida State coach Brooke Wyckoff how Dias Dos Santos has progressed this year and how she has evolved.
“I mean, the number one thing about Raiane is that she just stays ready no matter what," Wyckoff said (Timestamp 5:52). “There have been games where she’s played one minute, and she had the same attitude every single day of ‘Got you, coach. I’m ready to go in, I’m ready to do it.’”
"She has not only just been ready. She has continued to learn. There's a lot that's different from where she came from and she's a sponge. She wants to learn. She's a great teammate."
Wyckoff praised Dias Dos Santos' ever-ready nature.
"She's just ready," Wyckoff said (6:26). "She stepped up no matter how many minutes it is. No matter what we're asking her to do. I'm really proud of her and thankful."
