Legendary Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski still remembers the moment when Bobby Hurley knocked down a 3-pointer with a little over two minutes remaining in the Blue Devils' 1991 Final Four game against UNLV.
In a media scrum that was uploaded on the Devils' Digest YouTube page on Sunday, Krzyzewski, who piloted Duke to five national championship titles in 1991, 1992, 2001, 2010 and 2015, recalled Bobby Hurley's attempt that cut Duke's deficit to two, 76-74.
Hurley's quick-release 3-pointer gave Krzyzewski chills up to this point and calls it one of the greatest shots of all time in Duke history.
"I didn't call anything and they just switched defensive strategies and I was getting ready to make a big player change and he comes down the court and just he's not looking at the bench he's just (went) boom," Krzyzewski said.
"I get chills thinking about it because it's really we wanted. It was one of the great shots of all time (in team history)."

The shot sparked an 8-1 closing run that handed the Blue Devils a ticket to the 1991 national final against Kansas. Duke eventually won the winner-take-all clash, 72-65, handing Krzyzewski his first-ever collegiate title.
Hurley would win another title in 1992 before enlisting himself in the NBA draft, where he was picked by the Sacramento Kings as the seventh overall pick.
Bobby Hurley returns to Duke as Arizona State coach
Bobby Hurley made his return to the Cameron Indoor Stadium on Sunday as the coach of the Arizona State Sun Devils.
The two-time All-American point guard, who is the Blue Devils' all-time leader in assists, was welcomed by the Duke fans inside the gym.
He received a rousing ovation when he emerged from the visiting tunnel. He acknowledged the cheers by raising his right hand. Hurley also hugged current Blue Devils coach Jon Scheyer during the event.
When the exhibition game started, Hurley's Arizona State had no answers to the Blue Devils' relentless plays, losing 103-47.
After the game, Bobby Hurley had mixed emotions about his return and getting crushed by a freshman-loaded squad featuring Cooper Flagg.
"All the other stuff was outstanding," Hurley said. "It's just, sometimes you should leave well enough alone or something. That's why I never wanted to come back here. ... We used to do this to everybody. It was a tough night, tough night," he added.
Kon Knueppel led the Blue Devils in scoring with 19 points, while Maluach recorded his second-straight double-double with 12 boards.
Arizona State will open its 2024-25 college basketball season against Idaho State, while Duke kicks off with a non-conference game against Maine on Nov. 4
