“Get out of here”: Kim Mulkey’s daughter shares LSU coach having “morning wrestling” fun with her grandkids

LSU women's basketball coach Kim Mulkey showed a fun side of her in her display with her daughter Makenzie Fuller's children. Mulkey took time off her coaching duties to visit and play with her grandkids, Kannon Reid and Sage Avery.

Fuller posted a video of Mulkey "wrestling" with her grandkids on X (formerly Twitter).

"Morning wrestling with YaYa," the post was captioned.

In the video, Mulkey helped Sage climb the bed as both kids squealed in delight.

"Oh, you better run. You better run. Get outta here, get outta here, you heifer," Mulkey playfully said.

However, Kannon jumped on his grandma, who noted that his 3-year-old sister was tired.

Kim Mulkey was married to Randy Robertson, with whom she had two children: son Kramer, who played professional baseball after being an All-American at LSU, and daughter Makenzie, who played both basketball and softball for Baylor. Makenzie also served as her mother's assistant at Baylor, which Mulkey led to three national championships (2005, 2012 and 2019).

Kim Mulkey jokes about helping pregnant Tennessee HC Cadwell deliver her baby

Kim Mulkey lightheartedly poked fun at first-year Tennessee coach Kim Cadwell's pregnancy during a media conference on Tuesday. Mulkey, who has two grown children and two grandkids, said she wouldn't mind helping Cadwell if her opponent went into labor during the matchup between No. 15 Tennessee (13-1, 1-1 SEC) and No. 4 LSU (17-0, 2-0) in Knoxville, Tennessee, on Thursday.

"I know she, any moment now I was told, should have a baby, so I hope she has it right there in the middle of the game," Mulkey said. "I hope that game gets so exciting, I'll go down there and help deliver it. (Former Tennessee coach) Pat Summitt had quite a story when she had her baby. She had to land that plane out of recruiting (Michelle) Marciniak.

"So, if Kim goes into labor during our game, listen, I have lots of experience, I have two. So, come find me, and I'll be there to hold your hand with husband and whoever else you'll let into the room."

Cadwell married her husband, Justin, in 2023. She announced her pregnancy in September, and her due date is reportedly on Jan. 20.

Meanwhile, Mulkey praised Cadwell for her style of play which "is nothing like I've ever seen." The LSU coach also noted that the Lady Vols score and force other teams to play fast with their full-court press under Cadwell's leadership.
