Flau'Jae Johnson's mother, Kia Brooks, echoed Last-Tear Poa's spiritual post on Instagram. Poa, who plays for No. 6 LSU women’s basketball alongside Johnson, shared a photo of herself guarding an Arkansas player during the Tigers' 98-64 blowout win over the Razorbacks in SEC play on Friday.

"God will put you back together in front of those who broke you,” Poa captioned her post.

Brooks was among those who left encouraging comments. She wrote:

"God's got the last say! Keep proving them wrong and yourself right, queen! Your time is NOW!"

Poa is in the middle of a legal battle against the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). The LSU senior sued the agency over its restrictions on international students' name, image and likeness (NIL) opportunities.

Despite the lawsuit and limited playing time this season, Poa remains an integral member of the LSU team.

Kim Mulkey praises Last-Tear Poa for her leadership qualities

LSU senior Last-Tear Poa is playing her final season at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. Although her court time has been affected this season, her contributions to the team have not gone unnoticed by LSU coach Kim Mulkey.

Following LSU's 85-74 victory over Tulane two months ago, Mulkey highlighted Poa's leadership and off-court impact.

"The impact can be her (Poa's) experience. She’s going to take charges," Mulkey said per The Mirror. "She’s going to open her mouth. And all that is good, she knows the position."
"She can play any of the three positions on the perimeter for us. She will tell you her true position is the off guard. She’s been very unselfish in playing the point for us. It’s good to have her back."

Poa contributed two points, one rebound and five assists in 19 minutes during the Tigers’ win over the Green Wave. For Mulkey, Poa's leadership qualities distinguish her from others on the current LSU roster.

"Because they want everybody to like them. Leaders aren’t going to be liked. Leaders are going to challenge their teammates. Leaders are going to hold them accountable," Mulkey said.
"I never had a problem just leading and guiding as a point guard, and taking care of them, but challenging. Kids don’t want to lead anymore.

Poa is averaging 3.1 points and 2.7 assists per game this season.
