The Hall of Fame Series had an outstanding game between two ranked programs as the 18t-ranked UConn Huskies were able to secure a 77-71 win over the eighth-ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs on Saturday. This game was close throughout and UConn forward Liam McNeeley led the way with 26 points in the victory.
Gonzaga (7-3), which was looking to bounce back after defeat to Kentucky, played a relatively strong game. However, the struggling nature of Graham Ike and Nolan Hickman combining for three points, one rebound, and one assist was too much to overcome.
UConn (8-3) stepped up and looked sharp despite being unable to shoot too well from distance so there is room for Dan Hurley's team to improve even more.
