“Great win girls”: Carson Beck’s mom Tracy shares heartfelt message for Hanna & Haley Cavinder’s win vs. SMU 

After a seven-game losing streak, Hanna and Haley Cavinder's Miami Hurricanes finally got their break on Sunday. Hosting SMU Mustangs at Watsco Center, the Hurricanes won 70-63, their second win (2-7) in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Haley led with 32 points on a 10-of-16 shooting from the floor, including 6-of-9 from the 3-point range and 6-of-7 from the free-throw line. Meanwhile, Hanna took care of playmaking as she finished with eight rebounds and eight assists.

The boyfriends were present in the stands to cheer them. Hanna is dating former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck while Hailey and Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson have been together since September 2023.

Beck's mother, Tracy, shared a picture of the four on her Instagram story after the game and wrote:

"Love this! Great win girls! Proud of you!"

Carson Beck left Georgia after four seasons to join Miami earlier this month. When the news of the quarterback's transfer spread on social media, many assumed that Miami was his preferred pick since his partner plays there. However, Beck's team dismissed the rumors, saying (via ESPN):

"It's a strategic thing, not an emotional thing. He wants to win. He didn't come back to get knocked out at halftime of a conference championship."

Hanna and Haley Cavinder prepare to close out their playing career

After leading the Miami Hurricanes to the Elite Eight in their senior season, Hanna and Haley Cavinder took a break to focus on their business venture. They returned for one last eligibility season to lead the Hurricanes deeper.

The Cavinder twins started the 2024-25 season strong with a seven-game victory run. They rebounded from a setback to Vanderbilt with four consecutive victories. However, after returning from Christmas break, the Hurricanes had a disheartening seven-game losing streak.

With the win over SMU, the Hurricanes are back on track. However, it could be difficult for the team to see a postseason run as they are now placed fourth from the bottom in the ACC standings. Miami has nine more games remaining in the regular season and taking wins in all these is crucial to realize Hanna and Haley Cavinder's March Madness dreams.
