Hailey Van Lith and Caitlin Clark might have inspired Hanna Cavinder’s BF Carson Beck’s move to Miami, explains NCAA expert

NCAA analyst Kent Padgett has put forward a theory on his Instagram page that Hanna Cavinder's boyfriend Carson Beck transferred to Miami because of college hoops star Hailey Van Lith and WNBA phenom Caitlin Clark. This theory comes after Carson Beck officially transferred from Georgia to Miami. Beck's girlfriend Hanna Cavinder plays for the Hurricanes.

Padgett put forward his theory that if Caitlin Clark never beat Hailey Van Lith in the Elite Eight in April 2024, Van Lith wouldn't have transferred to TCU. If Van Lith hadn't transferred, Haley Cavinder may not have made the move from TCU to Miami for more playing time. The analyst felt that if the Cavinder twins didn't transfer, Beck would have probably not gone to Miami.

Carson Beck transfers to Miami to join his girlfriend Hanna Cavinder

Carson Beck has left Georgia to join the Miami Hurricanes, a move that not only boosts Miami football but also brings him closer to his girlfriend Hanna Cavinder.

Beck opted to go to the transfer portal instead of the 2025 NFL Draft and is now joining the same school as Cavinder, a key player for Miami hoops. Hanna wasted no time showing her excitement, posting on X about the news:

"It’s a great day to be a Miami Hurricane"

She also shared the a TikTok video that featured her and Beck making the iconic 'U' hand gesture to the Hurricanes anthem, "It’s All About the U."

Despite undergoing elbow surgery that sidelined him during Georgia’s College Football Playoff loss to Notre Dame, Beck delivered an impressive 2024 season, recording 3,485 passing yards, 28 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.
