Fifth-year senior Hailey Van Lith finished with 23 points, seven rebounds, eight assists, one steal and one block, leading No. 17 TCU to an 87-46 win over South Florida in the Cayman Islands Classic on Saturday at the John Gray High School Gym in George Town.
LSU transfer Van Lith followed up on her excellent performance against No. 3 Notre Dame on Friday, making 8 of 15 shots, including 2 of 5 from the 3-point line. The 5-9 guard sank 5 of 6 attempts from the free throw line to help TCU remain unbeaten in eight games.
Hailey Van Lith had her teammates involved early, dishing off three straight assists to Madison Conner, Taylor Bigby and Sedona Prince for an 11-4 lead. She'd score her first field goal on a 3-pointer at 5:06, giving the Horned Frogs a 14-4 lead.
Van Lith would make a 3-point play off a L'or Mputu foul, hiking TCU's advantage to 15, with 2:30 left in the opening frame. The former Louisville and LSU star also grabbed four rebounds to help the Horned Frogs grab a 10-point lead.
The combo guard would score six more points in the second period before recording two more assists to Prince and Conner, keeping TCU ahead, 40-22, at the half. She'd also had three rebounds to boost her total to seven in the first half.
The Paris Olympics 3x3 bronze medalist carried on with her onslaught in the second half, contributing 11 points, three assists, one steal and one block to solidify TCU's conquest of South Florida and remain unbeaten in eight games in the 2024-25 women's college basketball season.

The TCU dynamic duo of Sedona Prince and Hailey Van Lith combined for 40 points, almost outscoring the South Florida team on Saturday.
Prince finished with a double-double of 17 points, 13 rebounds, two assists and three blocks while Van Lith led all scorers with 23 for the Horned Frogs, who improved to 8-0.
This was Prince's fifth double-double of the season, as the 6-foot-7 center continues to put up Naismith Women's College Player of the Year-worthy numbers early in the season. She has shot 63.8% and averaged 20.1 points, 11.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 4.3 blocks in eight games.
Madison Conner and Taylor Bigby also finished in double figures for the Mark Campbell-coached squad, which continued to surprise everyone with its awesome form, culminating in a shocking 76-68 upset of No. 3 Notre Dame.
TCU made 52.5% of their field goals, including 41.4 from the 3-point line, and 86.7% from the free-throw line. The Horned Frogs had more rebounds (42-25) and assists (18-8) to complete the rout.
On Wednesday, TCU will return to the Schollmaier Arena in Fort Worth to face Florida Atlantic. The game against the Owls will test the Horned Frogs' readiness for next Sunday's clash with defending champion and No. 4-ranked South Carolina.
