Flau'jae Johnson isn't letting the negativity affect her performance on the court. She scored a game-high 22 points on Sunday to lead the No. 5 LSU Tigers to a 64-51 victory over the Texas A&M Aggies at Pete Maravich Assembly Center. Johnson added five rebounds and four steals for the Tigers, who improved their record to 21-1.

Johnson posted a message on X hours after the Tigers' win, with her words carrying added significance following the events that transpired after Friday's 66-56 loss to the No. 2 South Carolina Gamecocks at Colonial Life Arena.

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that," Johnson wrote, with the hashtag Big4 placed at the end of the message.

Controversy erupted at the conclusion of the LSU vs. South Carolina clash after the Gamecocks' in-arena DJ played the song "Cut Friends" by Johnson's late father, Jason, also known as the rapper Camoflauge. The LSU star never got to see her dad, who was shot and killed in Georgia six months before her birth.

Johnson reacted on social media after videos emerged of the song being blasted in the arena after LSU's loss. She called it "nasty behavior" and that there was nothing funny about it at all.

South Carolina Athletics released a statement on Sunday, apologizing to Flau'jae Johnson and her family for DJ T.O.'s "inappropriate in-game song selection" and her subsequent post on Instagram. As punishment, they suspended her for the Gamecocks' next home game.

Flau'jae Johnson and Aneesah Morrow lead LSU past Texas A&M

Flau'jae Johnson was on a mission to get the LSU Tigers back on track after the South Carolina Gamecocks handed them their first loss of the season. Johnson struggled in that defeat, scoring just two points in the second half after getting into foul trouble in the fourth quarter.

Johnson was much better on the offensive end against the Aggies, shooting 7-for-18 from the field and a perfect 8-for-8 from the free-throw line. She has scored at least 20 points in three of the Tigers' last five games. Johnson helped LSU pull away in the fourth quarter, scoring eight of her 22 points during that final period.

Aneesah Morrow failed to extend her double-double streak against Texas A&M but still finished with 19 points and nine rebounds. She also was a menace on the defensive end, racking up four steals and two blocks.
