Alijah Arenas, son of former NBA star Gilbert Arenas, is entering his junior year of high school. He is a consensus five-star shooting guard and is ranked among the top five recruits in the class of 2026.

On Saturday, Alijah played in a pro game when his high school team Chatsworth Cavs faced the Bulldogs at the Dog Run tournament. Ballslife shared a picture and a clip of the young hooper from the game, showing off his incredible footwork, dribbling and scoring ability.

"Alijah Arenas was showing off his whole game today! Who does his game remind you of??" Ballslife captioned the post on Instagram.

Many fans were left impressed with his performance, with some even claiming that he could play in the NBA.

Meanwhile, some fans compared Alijah's game to his father Gilbert, a three time NBA All-Star.

"He plays like his dad just not as quick or fast yet," a fan commented.
"His dad wasn’t good and got kicked out the nba. So we all know he not good enough to make it," another fan added.

High school hooper Alijah Arenas' college offers

According to 247Sports, Alijah Arenas has received basketball scholarship offers from 17 Division I schools including Alabama, Arizona, Kansas, California, Ole Miss, UCLA, Texas and more.

The 6-foot-4 athlete reportedly received his first offer in April last year from Bill Self's Kansas Jayhawks followed by two universities New Mexico and Texas on the same day.

Alijah received his final scholarship in May when the West Virginia Mountaineers joined the long list of programs seeking to add the talented youngster.

Alijah Arenas has played two seasons of high school basketball at Chatsworth, posting impressive numbers. In his freshman year, he averaged 30.3 points and grabbed nine rebounds per game. His second season was even more dominant as he upped his scoring output to 33 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.
