Duke coach Jon Scheyer was just as amped up as the crowd after Cooper Flagg's poster dunk in the Blue Devils' win over Pittsburgh on Tuesday. Early in the second half at Cameron Indoor Stadium, Flagg intercepted a pass, raced down the floor, and threw down a one-handed slam.

The reaction from fans and Duke players was electric as they were all in awe of the athleticism on display from the 6-foot-9 freshman.
During the postgame conference, coach Jon Scheyer shared his perspective on the highlight-reel play.
"I think [Cooper] and I were both pissed because there’s a disagreement on the out-of-bounds call right beforehand," Scheyer said (1:37). So I was still focusing on that. He was focusing on the next play, which I should have been too. And so I just caught the end of it."
"It reminded me of a Zion kind of play. That’s what it reminded me of because of how sparked it Cameron... but we’ve had a few guys through the years to make a couple plays that just spark everybody in the building, and there was one of those moments tonight."
Cooper Flagg also updated reporters on his mindset heading into the sequence, explaining that he was frustrated after picking up his third foul in the game. That frustration then led him to attack the rim with all his might.
His fellow Duke teammate, Tyrese Proctor, a junior guard, was just as impressed by the dunk.
"That's the best in-game dunk I've ever seen," Proctor said. "It might be one of the best dunks, period."
Jon Scheyer declares Cooper Flagg the best player in country
Duke freshman phenom Cooper Flagg put on a show Tuesday night in Durham, NC, leading the Blue Devils to a 76-47 victory over Pittsburgh. Flagg, a projected top pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, recorded a back-to-back double-double with 19 points, 10 rebounds and five assists.
After the dominant performance, Duke coach Jon Scheyer was full of praise for the Maine native.
"I know I'm biased, but if we're not talking about him as one of the best, to me, he is the best player," Scheyer said postgame. "I think he's proven it with who he's played ... He's proven it to me. He's got to continue to prove it, but for me, when we step on the floor, we have the best player in the country."
Jon Scheyer and No. 4 Duke have won their last nine games and are now 13-2 overall and 5-0 in the ACC. Flagg is leading the team in scoring (17.5 ppg), rebounding (8.5 rpg) and assists (3.7 apg).
