College basketball fans are buzzing after a highlight reel of V.J. Edgecombe was released. Edgecombe is projected to be a top-10 pick in the 2025 NBA draft. A five-star recruit in the class of 2024, he committed to play for Baylor over Kentucky and Duke. ESPN has him ranked at seventh overall in their first mock draft, and the hype around the forward continues to grow.

The 2025 NBA draft prospect is currently playing for the Bahamas in the Olympic qualifiers and is blowing fans out of the water with his skills, as evidenced by the following highlight reel:

College hoops fans on social media were abuzz over his viral dunk tape video.

"Young Donovan Mitchell," a fan wrote.

Other fans, meanwhile, had different comparisons for Edgecombe.

However, a few fans didn't understand why a missed dunk was a highlight.

Many college basketball fans are impressed with the 2025 NBA draft prospect and his play for the Bahamas national team. While it may not have closed the gap with Cooper Flagg for the first overall pick, Edgecombe is putting fans on notice with his play.

2025 NBA draft prospect V.J. Edgecombe donated some NIL money back to Bahamas

V.J. Edgecombe played in the Bahamas before moving to the United States to finish his high school career. Several weeks ago, he announced that he would be donating some of his NIL money to Gateway Christian Academy, which was the school he attended in the Bahamas.

“I just want to give back to all the kids that don’t have it financially,” Edgecombe exclusively shared to Forbes. “I just want to show love to my island because they’re the reason I’m here today.
“I just moved here for a better education to try to go to college for free where my mom don’t have to pay.”

The 2025 NBA draft prospect finished his high school career at Long Island Lutheran High School and committed to Baylor.
