Kiyan Anthony’s mom La La Anthony proudly reacts to son being named in Naismith HSS hooper watch list

Kiyan Anthony added another feather to his cap as he made the Naismith Boys High School Player of the Year Watch List for the 2024-25 season. The Long Island Lutheran High School guard joined top national prospects, including Cameron and Cayden Boozer, who committed to Duke last month.

Kiyan Anthony's latest achievement drew warm praise from his mom, La La Anthony. The "Think Like a Man" star hyped up her teenage son by leaving a comment on the post from the official account of the Naismith Awards.

La La has nurtured a special relationship with Kiyan, her son with NBA legend Carmelo Anthony. The mother-son duo has developed a best-friend-like relationship, which is often showcased on social media.

Kiyan Anthony is the No. 34th prospect in the Class of 2025, per ESPN and 247Sports.

In July, Kiyan narrowed his list of college options to six schools: Rutgers, Ohio State, Auburn, Florida State, USC and his father's alma mater, Syracuse.

Last year, he took official visits to Florida State and Syracuse, and more recently, he visited USC, where he donned their iconic colors.

In his recent appearance on the Jimmy Fallon show, Carmelo Anthony shared that his son would choose between USC and Syracuse, where he won the national championship in 2003.

While Kiyan has said there is no pressure from his father to go to Syracuse, the opportunity to follow in his footsteps and grow the legacy of the Anthony name at Syracuse may be tempting

He is set to announce his final decision on Friday at 5:30 p.m. ET, which will be streamed live on YouTube through the "7PM in Brooklyn" channel.
