It looks like Kateri Poole has nothing but love for her former LSU teammates. After a great rookie season that ended early due to a hand injury, Angel Reese is enjoying her first professional offseason. Making the best of it, the forward joined Unrivaled, the women's 3x3 basketball league founded by former UConn players Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier.

The debut season tipped off on Jan. 17, and Reese shared pictures from the games on Instagram on Tuesday with the caption:

"loml"

Kateri Poole's college struggles continue as she's set to stay for another year

Poole is a fifth-year guard who spent her first two years at Ohio State. She transferred to LSU in 2022 and won the 2023 national championship alongside Angel Reese and Flau'jae Johnson.

However, Kateri Poole was abruptly dismissed from the team four games into her senior season. She later transferred to the Houston Tigers in May 2024 to finish her college eligibility.

In an Instagram Live in September, the guard explained why she was removed when asked by fans.

"Truthfully, (Kim Mulkey) said that I sent in a scouting report to another school," she said."I ain't do that s**t... I was like, 'What do we do now?' She said, 'You're kicked off.' I said, 'Boom, aight.' She said, 'No longer on the team.'
"I took it, asked if I could still play. She said 'yep.' Scholarship, boom, was allowed to transfer. Now, I'm at Houston. Please stop asking me about that s**t."

However, things didn't go as planned for Kateri Poole, as she suffered an injury on her left knee injury during a scrimmage in October. The Cougars announced that she would miss the 2023-24 season.

“We are devastated for Kateri. It’s a huge loss because Kateri has worked so hard, and we were looking forward to having Kateri on the court this season,” Houston coach Ronald Hughey said.
“We will be there to support Kateri every step of the way during the recovery process. We know Kateri will be back stronger than ever next season.”

Meanwhile, the Houston Cougars aren't doing well, as they are No. 15 in the Big 12 standings with a 5-13 overall record.
