USC star JuJu Watkins is no stranger to the spotlight, having established herself as one of the most dominant freshmen last season. She is looking to build on her impressive debut with the Trojans and has been working hard to expand her skill set.

During an appearance on episode 10 of Flau'jae Johnson's "Best of Both Worlds" podcast last week, Watkins discussed the extra work she has been putting in this offseason to improve various facets of her game. Johnson asked JuJu how would she adapt to different approaches by opposition players to guard her.

"I love that, like, the element of surprise. I don't know, I just love to adjust in the game. I feel like that's what makes it so unpredictable," JuJu said.
"Just making those adjustments, I say it probably give me two. The first one I'm be like probably a little startled and then the second time, like, okay I got it." [Time Stamp - 13:52]

JuJu Watkins also addressed that she is focused on controlling the momentum of the game and making better decisions on the floor.

"Definitely left hand and also like pace. Just slowing the game down that's the biggest thing for me this year. Then just repetition, like shooting with dead legs, trying to rep that every day," JuJu added.
"So just being intentional with my moves, slowing it down, speeding up, getting to my spots."

JuJu Watkins shares how her bun inspires confidence in young female hoopers

JuJu Watkins and her signature hairstyle, a slicked-back bun, have become a staple for many, especially young girls.

The Philadelphia star Joel Embiid also wore what's now called the "JuJu Bun" during an AT&T commercial in April, which even garnered more attention to the style.

On Flau'jae Johnson's podcast "Best of Both Worlds," the 6-foot-2 guard revealed the reasoning behind her iconic hairdo.

"That was crazy. I think for me, it's like a superstition thing and, like, bun gives me confidence, honestly. You know, you look good, you play good," JuJu said.
"I hope that little girls doing that and playing, I feel like, I hope that gives them the same kind of feeling, just that confidence. I've been wearing it since I was like five. It's just a thing."

LSU's Flau'jae compared JuJu Watkins' hairstyle to her own habit of wearing a headband to every game. She explained that without it, she would feel strange, like if something were missing.
