Fans reacted as Paige Bueckers, a UConn guard and social media sensation, returned to her home state of Minnesota on Tuesday to throw the first pitch at the Twins game. She brought them good luck, as the Twins beat the Kansas City Royals 4-1.
After she threw the ceremonial pitch, Bueckers enjoyed the game from the stands with the crowd at Target Field. The six-foot-zero PG was spotted engaging with young fans and mingling with them.
A TikTok user @paigebueckersupdates uploaded a short clip of Paige Bueckers interacting with a young female fan sitting in front of her.

College basketball fans flooded the comments section, sharing their admiration for the Huskies star and praising her.

Paige Bueckers, born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, played high school basketball at Hopkins School, where she earned Minnesota Miss Basketball and Gatorade Player of the Year honors.
Paige Bueckers becomes a part of Unrivaled 3-on-3 league
Paige Bueckers, a projected top pick in the 2025 WNBA draft, has joined a new 3-on-3 league by Unrivaled. She signed up for the project on Aug. 1.
"It’s super cool. Obviously you want to plan for the future, but your feet are living in the present,” Bueckers told The AP. “To be part of that which is something that’s so much bigger than myself."
"I definitely think the return on investment will be huge. I think this league is gonna do great things. Unrivaled is going to be a huge thing with people watching during the offseason of the WNBA."
Founded by UConn alums Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier, the league will begin in 2026. Bueckers will have equity in the project and NIL deal as well.
