The Money Game on Prime; spotlight on LSU stars including Flau'jae Johnson
Prime Video dropped the trailer for "The Money Game," and it’s already hyping LSU's athletics program. The series, which will air during the 2023-24 academic year, spotlights athletes such as gymnast Livvy Dunne, basketball stars Angel Reese and Flau'jae Johnson, and football player Jayden Daniels.
Dunne and Johnson are among the top athletes, with Dunne ranking second and Johnson 13th in On3's Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) projections. Reese, who gained a huge following during her time in Baton Rouge, also plays a big role in the series. Even though Daniels and Reese have graduated, Dunne and Johnson are still competing for the Tigers.
The show dives into the world of NIL deals, which allow college athletes to profit from their fame. Last season, Johnson was a key player in LSU's Women's Basketball team, helping them reach the Final Four alongside Reese.
The series, set to premiere on Sept. 10, also highlights Johnson's lucrative partnerships, including deals with Raising Cane’s and Campus Ink, where she earned payments for every limited edition LSU jersey sold.
