Hailey Van Lith hit the red carpet on Friday for the WNBA All-Star Weekend festivities. The guard is part of the 3x3 Team USA roster that will take on team WNBA consisting of Brittney Griner and Jonquel Jones.

During one of the interviews on the red carpet, Van Lith was asked to name a celebrity she would play a 1v1 pickup game with. The TCU guard chose Tom Brady and predicted a final score of 11-5. She justified the low score, saying:

"He don't look like he can move that good no more. He's not gonna play defense well. I dont think the shot is there so..."

And as for the one move she would put on him, Van Lith said:

"I'm gonna hit him with the drag. I'm gonna hit him with the between the legs drag. And he might stutter a little bit."

In the end, however, Hailey Van Lith said that she respected Brady and that it was all in good fun.

"Also, Tom Brady, I love you. Respect. I'm not tryna embarrass you," she said.

The former LSU point guard was expected to declare for the WNBA draft this year along with Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark. However, poor performances with the Tigers in her final season hindered her chances of getting drafted. Van Lith averaged 11.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.3 steals.

After spending just one season at Baton Rouge, Van Lith has now transferred to TCU. She will be using her fifth college eligibility year.

Hailey Van Lith is all set for her Olympics debut in Paris

While still participating in high school and college basketball, Hailey Van Lith has also maintained consistent international appearances with Team USA, specifically for 3x3 championships. She has won multiple gold medals playing for the FIBA 3x3 World Cup from 2018 till now.

With her extensive experience in the game, Van Lith was picked to represent Team USA at the 3x3 basketball competition in the 2024 Paris Summer Olympic Games. She is the only collegiate player on the roster and will join Dearica Hamby of the Los Angeles Sparks, Rhyne Howard of Atlanta Dream and former WNBA player Cierra Burdick.

Cameron Brink had been announced on the roster but will have to sit out due to her ACL injury.

Van Lith has already begun her practice for the games, along with Burdick. They will face Germany first on July 30.
