Azzi Fudd and Paige Bueckers poked fun at each other in a video for the Women’s Champions Classic. In the video posted on Friday, the UConn guards answered questions under 'Let's Be Honest.'
While both players agreed that Bueckers was the better trash-talker, their first disagreement came for the question: 'Who's messier?' They both named each other before Paige Bueckers asked about their rooms.
"I'm messier, she's dirtier," Fudd said.
Bueckers once again disagreed with this. Watch the video here:
Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd are playing their fourth year together at UConn, although they have rarely shared the court at the same time. The Fudd-Bueckers duo was one of the most anticipated combinations from fans when the junior joined in 2021. However, injury trouble delayed their debut together.
While Bueckers led the Huskies to the Final Four last season, Fudd was sidelined with an ACL tear. With her returning this season, the two played a few games before Fudd was injured again. She missed two weeks in December but is back on the court.
Azzi Fudd is averaging 9.7 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists while shooting 43.5% from the floor. Bueckers is playing her final season with the Huskies and is averaging 19.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists while making 55.9% of her attempts.
Paige Bueckers is predicted to return to action next week
Paige Bueckers is out of action after she sustained a knee sprain during UConn's 83-52 win over the Villanova Wildcats on Sunday. The Huskies have since played one game against Xavier, which they won 81-27.
UConn coach Geno Auriemma gave an update on Bueckers' return to playing when talking to the media on Tuesday.
"It's a sprain. There's nothing torn. There's nothing crazy about it," Auriemma said. "Her ankle is fine. I mean, it's sore. Don't get me wrong. It's like her knee got twisted a certain way. Her ankle got twisted a certain way. It was just an awkward thing. But we're hoping that we have her back in a week."
With this, Bueckers will probably join her teammates for the game against St. John's or Seton Hall. This is her final run at Storrs and is hoping to end it with a national championship win. The Huskies last won a title in 2016.
