Gabbie Marshall's latest Instagram post has brought the former Iowa Hawkeyes roster to the comment section. After five seasons with the Hawkeyes, Marshall retired from basketball in May and has since been making the best of her time this summer.

On Monday, the former guard posted a series of photographs to her Instagram with the caption:

"Sunset pics 🧡🌅"

Former Hawkeyes players Caitlin Clark, Kate Martin, Monika Czinano and Patrick McCaffery reacted to the pictures in the comments.

"You are stunning!!! I miss you 💓, "Clark wrote.
"way too much glaze," wrote McCaffery who transferred to Butler in April.
"Jaw on the floor," Czinano commented.
"Beautiful!," wrote Kate Martin

In her five years at Iowa, Gabbie Marshall averaged 6.6 points, 1.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.4 steals. She was one of the core players, along with Clark and Martin, who played a crucial role in the Hawkeyes' trip to back-to-back NCAA championship games.

Marshall graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor's degree in Pre-medical studies. She is currently enrolled at the University of North Carolina for her master's in Occupational Therapy.

Gabbie Marshall's transformation from shy to confidence

At Iowa, Gabbie Marshall was one of the leaders who took care of the defense, restricting the opponents while Caitlin Clark dunked her baskets. In the Final Four game against the UConn Huskies, Marshall's quick thinking of calling an illegal screen by Aaliyah Edwards helped the Hawkeyes restrict the Huskies.

In an interview with Hawk Fanatic in April, the guard spoke on her transformation ever since she stepped foot at the Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

“I’ve become a better person, stronger, a better leader,” she said. “My freshman year I struggled to use my voice a little bit. I kind of hid in the shadows. But I think I’ve trusted my own voice, just been a better leader because these people around me have pushed me especially Kate. She’s one of the best leaders I’ve ever been around. These people are amazing, and they’ve helped me grow.”

In her final note announcing her retirement, Gabbie Marshall noted that her five-year-old self would be proud of the person she had become and credited her Iowa teammates and staff for this.

While they may have gone their separate ways, Marshall still maintains her relationship with Caitlin Clark and Kate Martin. She is sometimes seen on the sidelines cheering her friends as they accomplish their WNBA dreams.
