Kim Mulkey and the LSU Tigers will put their unbeaten record on the line when they face Tennessee at Food City Center on Thursday. She opened up about the different challenges the Volunteers pose in Tuesday's chat with T-Bob Hebert and Jacob Hester on ESPN 104.5's "Off the Bench" radio program.

The Tigers are the last remaining undefeated team in the SEC, holding a perfect 17-0 record after Sunday’s win over Auburn. One of the hosts asked Mulkey what she sees right now with the Volunteers as LSU's focus shifts to No. 16 Tennessee.

Mulkey praised Tennessee coach Kim Caldwell for transforming the Volunteers' women's program with her style of basketball.

"I have never, in all my years of women’s basketball, seen the style of play that they play," Mulkey said (Timestamp 11:44). "They have 10 transfers. They substitute every two to three minutes four and five players at a time."

Kim Mulkey also explained why facing Tennessee is tough.

"They literally do the full-court run and jump, trying to create turnovers," Mulkey said. "They jack up threes all over the floor. They take you off the dribble. It’s like playing street ball."

Mulkey gave the Lady Vols their flowers, encouraging college hoops fans to watch Tennessee play.

"If you have not seen them play, you need to look at it because I’m sitting here going, okay, that style is great, but how do you recruit a post player to it? How do you win a championship?"
"All I know is it’s working and it’s effective. This new coach, Kim Caldwell, won two national championships at the D2 level and she’s not changed her philosophy," Mulkey said.

Aneesah Morrow delivers for Kim Mulkey in LSU's win over Auburn

Kim Mulkey had Aneesah Morrow to thank for the No. 6 LSU Tigers' 73-63 victory over Auburn on the weekend. Morrow led the team in scoring and rebounding, scoring 21 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. She shot 9-for-12 and knocked down three of her four attempts at the charity stripe.
