Following their heartbreaking loss to the South Carolina Gamecocks on Friday, Flau'jae Johnson and the LSU Tigers bounced back with a 64-51 win over the Texas A&M Aggies on Sunday. This was their 21st overall win of the 2024-2025 season.

During the post-game presser, Johnson detailed how the Kim Mulkey-coached team recuperated after suffering the loss. The LSU coach has yet to win a game against Dawn Staley and the Gamecocks since joining the program in 2021 and this includes the 2024 SEC championship game loss.

"We sat (and) watched film. First, we looked at the things that we did good. That's where you got to start," the junior said (5:50). "For me, I was pissed. I'm a competitor, could barely sleep.
"But, I was like, 'Man, all the things that we did good, all of those things are fixable.' Turnovers that we had, free throws, all of those things are fixable. So, it gave me a little chip. We didn't play our best so, we'll be alright."

In the conference defeat against the Gamecocks, Flau'jae Johnson had 13 points on 6-out-of-18 from the floor, four rebounds, an assist and two steals in 33 minutes of game time.

The junior guard was able to perform better against the Aggies as she finished with a game-high 22 points on a 7-of-18 shooting from the floor and had five boards, two dimes and four swipes while playing 30 minutes.

Flau'jae Johnson acknowledges her team's improvement from an execution standpoint

While Flau'jae Johnson recognized the Tigers' mistakes against the Gamecocks, she acknowledged the team's improvement against the Aggies.

"From an execution standpoint, I think that we made adjustments better," Johnson said. "We seen how they was guarding a low stack. Coach said, 'Bring them up,' we brought them up, and we executed on different plays.
"I think that was real mature of us in order to get some things changed within the flow of the game," Johnson said. (6:42)

Johnson and the rest of the LSU Tigers will continue with conference play on Thursday when they host the No. 15 Oklahoma Sooners.
