Paige Bueckers donned the cap of a coach at Overtime Select's Takeover event. She led her Team Paige to a 105-102 victory over Team Flau'jae in the Next Up 5s coaching a team of high school talents that included Jerzy Robinson.
In a video shared by Overtime on Saturday, Bueckers was seen preparing for the tip-off as she said:
"I don't really have a game plan, but we're gonna win. So I'm not really stressing."
It was Paige Bueckers' second time coaching the 5v5, and she has taken the win on both occasions.
The UConn guard has been on a 'world tour' over the summer as she traveled across the country, supporting her former teammates in the WNBA. She joined in the WNBA All-Star Weekend festivities and threw the ceremonial first pitch at a Minnesota Twins baseball game.
Bueckers also took over the tennis world as she showed up to support Coco Guaff and Frances Tiafoe. UConn teammate Azzi Fudd joined Paige Bueckers in New York and Gauff commented on their support.
"I think I got some of the good vibes from them to help me back me through," the tennis star said.
"I saw Paige and both of them standing up getting out of their seats. So it was great to have that support, and hopefully I can return the favor at one of their games."
Paige Bueckers names her favorite stop from her eventful summer
Paige Bueckers spent her last two offseasons struggling with injuries and is now making the best of her time being healthy again. While she has been travelling, she also spent time with her brother, Drew, in Minnesota.
In a video shared by a fan from the Overtime weekend, Paige Bueckers was asked about her 'world tour' and favorite stop.
"It's been wild. The whole world tour has been super fun," Bueckers said. "I've got, this is my first real offseason in college where I've been healthy. I'm not in one place doing rehab. So, it's been really fun. It is a mix of business and fun.
"My west coast trip was extremely fun. I really enjoyed LA for the ESPYs, but I'll probably say Phoenix for the WNBA All-Star (Weekend) was my favorite stop. And then, I'm from Minnesota, so going back home is really cool."
Paige Bueckers dipped her toes into the fashion world this weekend. Along with Azzi Fudd, the guard attended the Tombogo Spring/Summer 2025 show at New York Fashion Week.
With summer drawing close, Bueckers will start her final college campaign with the UConn Huskies.
