Hunter Dickinson and the Kansas Jayhawks recorded a dominant 99-48 win against the UCF Knights on Sunday. Dickinson finished with 27 points and nine rebounds to lead the Jayhawks to the largest road win in Big 12 history and the second-largest in program history.
Terrence Oglesby shared his surprise at the Jayhawks' dominant victory over the Knights on the Field of 68: After Dark Show on Sunday. He was expecting the worst after their disappointing home loss to West Virginia last time out, but instead got a historic win.
"The biggest road win in the history of the Big 12 conference. They win by 51 on the road. And this is a Kansas team I was perfectly ready to, I'm not going to lie to you, man, I thought that they were going to lose this game," Terrence Oglesby said.
"I thought that they were going to go to Indiana, UCF and get beat the way the Texas A&M got beat. I was ready to come on to this exact show and say, 'I'm out. I've sold all my cans of stock. I am out on them.' And then they go and they put together this performance."
Hunter Dickinson led five Kansas players in double figures, three of whom came off the bench. Meanwhile, the Jayhawks defense stifled the Knights, who shot just 20% on their home floor. Kansas also crushed UCF on the boards, 63-32.
