There was an offensive masterclass in Big Ten action as the No. 22 Illinois Fighting Illini were able to go on the road and upset the No. 9 Oregon Ducks 109-77. Tre White was able to lead the way for Illinois as he finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds in the victory.
The Fighting Illini (10-3, 2-1 Big Ten) were able to maintain their lead for a majority of the first half and just have the offensive explosion to continue extending their lead against one of the top teams in college basketball. The Ducks (12-2, 1-2) have opened Big Ten play on a sour note and just were unable to do much of anything to slow Illinois down.

The offense of the Illinois Fighting Illini was able to dominate throughout the 40 minutes as they were able to shoot 42-of-73 (57.5%) from the floor, 16-of-29 (55.2%) from the 3-point line and 9-of-11 (81.8%) from the free throw line. The Fighting Illini were also able to grab rebounds at a great rate as they finished with 43 total rebounds (10 offensive, 33 defensive) and had five steals and five blocks.
The offense played isolation basketball with 17 assists on 42 made baskets and only turned the ball over 10 times. Illinois finished with 13 fast break points as well as scoring 48 points in the paint.
The Oregon Ducks, meanwhile, shot the ball at a solid level as the team went 30-of-69 (43.5%) overall, 5-of-15 (33.3%) from beyond the arc and 12-of-17 (70.6%) from the charity stripe. The offense had 13 assists on their 30 made field goals and just like Illinois, they committed 10 turnovers. Their rebounding number was decent as the Ducks recorded 31 total rebounds (nine offensive, 22 defensive) while the defense recorded a pair of steals and five blocks.
Oregon had nine fast break points as well as scoring 36 of their 77 points in the paint during this game.
