College basketball fans are awaiting the decision of AJ Dybantsa, the No. 1 high school prospect in the 2025 class. The 6-foot-9 small forward from Utah Prep will announce his commitment on Tuesday's episode of ESPN's "First Take." His final four schools are BYU, Alabama, Kansas and North Carolina.
Fans are looking forward to Dybantsa's decision, as the winning school in the sweepstakes to get the Brockton, Massachusetts native will likely boost their program's championship potential in the 2025-26 season. All four finalists have made it to multiple NCAA Tournaments in recent years.
"I want North Carolina but I know it's gonna be Bama or Kansas," a fan said.
"Him and Darryn Peterson at KU would be something crazy," another fan wrote.
Other social media users are hoping to see Dybantsa wearing the Crimson Tide or the Cougars uniform next season.
"Go Cougs!" another fan said.
"BYU or Bama," a fan wrote.
Some were thinking of other top recruiting programs that have already hauled impressive pickups for next season.
"Imagine Duke," a fan said.
"He's gonna secretly flip and commit to msu (i'm delusional)," another fan wrote.
AJ Dybantsa will join the ranks of Top 10 recruits like Cameron and Cayden Boozer, Darryn Peterson, Darius Acuff Jr. and Chris Cenac Jr., all of whom have announced their pledges as part of the Class of 2025.
This will leave Nate Ament, Koa Peat, Mikel Brown Jr. and Caleb Wilson as the other five-star recruits who have yet to make their decisions.
AJ Dybantsa's scouting report by Keenan Womack
AJ Dybantsa has impressed basketball experts, from college and professional ranks, with his length and ability to produce shots from both ends of the court.
According to a scouting report by Sports Illustrated's Keenan Womack:
"Dybantsa is a dynamic offensive player in that he can shoot off the bounce and has a great functional handle for someone of his size – he can pull up from nearly anywhere on the floor, and has a high basketball IQ in that he just finds ways to score on the offensive end, whether in the half court or in transition."
According to On3, BYU has a 63.3% chance to gain AJ Dybantsa's pledge with Alabama trailing far behind with a 16.7% chance. Kansas State has a 10.3% chance of getting his commitment, while North Carolina sits at 2.0%.
