Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd made their fashion week debut at the New York Fashion Week in September. The UConn Huskies guards attended the WhoDecidesWar fashion show on September 7 and caught fans' attention with their style and fits.
Almost two months after the event, Azzi Fudd posted pictures from the night to her Instagram account on Saturday. Paige Bueckers' stylist Brittany Hampton shared the picture of the two guards to her Instagram story and wrote:
“Imma stay capturing my babies.”
Apart from her many side quests this summer, Azzi Fudd has been working hard to return to her healthy self. After missing the previous season with a torn ACL, Azzi Fudd is set to join the UConn Huskies on court for this season.
While a timeline for her return has not been set yet, the guard is excited to finally play with her teammates again.
“The group that we have is really special,” Fudd said in September. “I feel like we're so trauma bonded at this point. To see everyone getting healthy, it's just been so amazing, and I can't wait.
"I'm excited to play, but I'm excited to see my teammates play, and my teammates on the floor and not dressed in sweat suits on the bench. I can't wait for that and I think what we do is going to be special. That's just gonna make the year. We're really gonna be playing for each other.”
Azzi Fudd and Paige Bueckers added to the 2025 Naismith Trophy Watch List
After a year's break, Paige Bueckers returned to court last season and led the UConn Huskies on a Final Four run despite struggling with an injury-ridden roster. She averaged 21.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 2.2 steals and 1.4 blocks per game.
Bueckers is now preparing to play her final college season, and all eyes are on her as she attempts to lead the Huskies on a championship run. Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd have created heavy buzz with their potential partnership on the court and have been added to the Naismith Trophy Watch List, along with 48 other women's college basketball athletes.
The 2024-25 season will be Bueckers' last chance to win an NCAA championship. Meanwhile, red-shirt junior Azzi Fudd has one more eligibility year before she declares for the WNBA draft.
The UConn Huskies will play their first exhibition game for the season on Sunday against Fort Hays State. They will begin their regular season on Nov. 7 against Boston.
