LSU Tigers' Flau'jae Johnson attended the second edition of YouTube Music Leaders and Legends gala on Friday. The guard opted for a simple, black satin dress with an upper thigh-high slit. The $1.2M NIL-valued (per On3) Johnson wore her curly hair in a half-updo and looked stunning.

"How Could They Believe If Nobody’s Ever Witnessed This? #Legendary #BOBW out now 🤍 I’m Glad Yall Love It. Thank you @rachiebabie you a legend in my eyes," she wrote in the caption.

Flau'Jae Johnson is celebrating the release of her debut EP, Best of Both Worlds, which came out on Friday. With nine tracks, the album also includes collaborations with Louisiana native Lil Wayne, 2RARE, and her previous feature with NLE Choppa.

After the release of the album, Flau'jae thanked her mother, fans and team for always supporting her on-court and off of it. She wrote in an Instagram post:

"To my fans and supporters, yall get a ya own paragraph lol, yall are so special to me. It’s so many times where I get hate or I even doubt myself and yall send me messages like “keep going” or saying how much I inspire yall. But yall don’t even know yall inspire me.
"So I thank yall, thank you for listening to my story and my music it means so much to me and I love yall !! This is only the beginning.. if you’re new to the Flauk, well enjoy the ride . It’s up ."

Flau'jae Johnson explains the significance of her album title

The two worlds that Flau'jae Johnson lives in are her basketball and music careers. It is rare for a college player to have a full-fledged second career, considering the demands of the sport. Johnson is part of the core team at LSU and this makes her efforts much more harder.

Explaining the reasons behind this to Rolling Stone, Flau'jae Johnson said:

“This is me trying to show that I am the one that can do both. I just want to shut people up, like — boom, get it? This is the new norm, this is the new precedent. I do two things. I really have the best of both worlds: basketball and music.”
“Basketball has made me have a certain discipline in my life that helps me demolish the music side,” she said. “It’s taught me that you work at something every day, you put the hours in, you just fall in love with the process.”

While promoting her album, Johnson is also preparing for her junior season with the Tigers. After falling short of defending their 2023 national championship, the guard and her teammates will try to do it in the upcoming season.

It will not be an easy task as they will face stiff competition from the USC Trojans, the South Carolina Huskies, and the UConn Huskies.
