Former Duke Blue Devil Jayson Tatum led the Boston Celtics to their 18th NBA championship after defeating the Dallas Mavericks 4-1 in the NBA Finals. In the playoffs, the 6-foot-8 small forward averaged 25.0 points, 9.7 rebounds and 6.3 assists while shooting 42.7% from the field (28.3% from beyond the arc).
Duke men's basketball shared some images on Instagram to give a shoutout to Tatum, who has a net worth of $50 million (per Celebrity Net Worth).
Tatum joined the Blue Devils in 2016 and played 29 games for them. He averaged 16.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.1 blocks in 33.1 minutes per game. He declared for the NBA draft in 2017 after a lone season with Duke.
Tatum was drafted as the No. 3 pick overall in the draft and was accompanied by three more players from the Blue Devils (Luke Kennard, Harry Giles and Frank Jackson).
