Former NBA star Carmelo Anthony's son Kiyan Anthony has been making headlines with sensational performances at the Nike EYBL circuit for Team Melo AAU. He is a four-star prospect from Long Island Lutheran, New York, and is ranked as the No. 27 player in the nation in the class of 2025 by On3.

His mother, LaLa Anthony, shared a picture on Instagram of the prospect during Peach Jam 2024. Kiyan was clicked engrossed in conversation with former President Barack Obama.

She captioned the post:

"Life lately."

Kiyan Anthony gets a deluge of offers

For a long time, Kiyan Anthony was believed to be a lock to join his father Carmelo Anthony's alma mater, the Syracuse Orange. But ever since he has blown up as a prospect, several different offers have come in from elite sides all over the country.

During the 2024 Peach Jam, the renowned Anthony interviewed with On3. He discussed his various commitment options involving Syracuse, Ohio State and Auburn.

“They’re (Syracuse) on me heavy. I’m looking to take a second visit. I want to go to a basketball game when the season starts. I know it’s (Ohio State) a new building program with coach (Jake) Diebler over there. They were the first coaches in the gym to come see me today so that shows that they’re really interested in me. I really like that so they’re really high on my list. I’m looking forward to taking a visit after Peach," Kiyan Anthony said.
“They (Auburn) haven’t offered me yet. I’m still learning about them. Coach (Ira) Bowman reaches out to me every other day. He checks on me and a few of my close friends are over there, Tahaad (Pettiford) and Jahki (Howard) and they tell me about it. I’m looking forward to them throwing the offer so I can go take the visit.”

Kiyan Anthony has offers from Indiana, Rutgers, USC and Arkansas, which indicates his options with his college basketball future.

Anthony gave a timeline on when he would make his decision on which school he would commit to.

“Definitely this month, after Peach Jam or a week after,” Anthony said. “I’m approaching my senior year and I want to commit before the season even starts.”

Syracuse Orange fans hope Kiyan Anthony will seek to recreate his father's legacy at the program despite offers from other teams.
