The winningest men's basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski (Coach K) was in attendance as two of the most renowned basketball schools battled at the 2024 Vegas Showdown. It is the second biggest game for the Duke Blue Devils (#11) this season after the loss to Kentucky earlier this month. Kansas has maintained its No. 1 stature in the AP poll and enters the contest behind a 5-0 record.
In the most unusual combo, Coach K was seen in conversation and having a ball with the Hangover movie series' actor Ken Jeong.
Acclaimed for his comedic timing, Jeong is most known for characters like Leslie Chow (Mr. Chow) in the "Hangover" series and Senor Chang in the TV series "Community."
Coach K and Ken Jeong share a bond that dates back to the actor’s college days in Durham. Jeong pursued his undergraduate at Duke before undergoing a medical degree from the University of North Carolina.
During Duke University’s Centennial in October, Jeong and Mike Krzyzewski collaborated to hype up the fans, students and crowd, leading the chants of “Let’s Go Duke.” The event aimed at capturing the decorated past of the university and its potential in the future.
