UConn shared photos on Instagram of the team making its way to Washington, D.C., and the Huskies' outfits were next level.

"White House Bound 🛫🏆🏆," the caption read.

The post shows a picture of coach Hurley, dressed in a sharp white shirt and tie, boarding the airplane.

Donovan Clingan, Tristen Newton, Stephon Castle and Cam Spencer — former UConn players from last season's championship-winning run who are now in the NBA — also returned for the ceremony. They looked dapper as they headed to the nation's capital.

Hurley's UConn is visiting the White House for the second year in a row after winning the back-to-back championship in April. President Biden will hold the ceremony to honor the teams in the East Room. The event starts at 1:30 pm.

Hurley, who rejected the Lakers coaching job offer in June, led the Huskies to a 37-3 record last season, winning the Empire Classic, Big East regular season and tournament titles, besides the NCAA glory. He aims to add another championship this upcoming season to complete a three-peat in college basketball, a feat only UCLA accomplished under John Wooden in the 1960s and '70s.

"I think UConn is in that realm now, and to win three in a row in today's game is really hard to imagine," NCAAB analyst Jay Bilas said.

"If they can tack a third on there, they're in rarefied air. But five national championships in 25 years, Storrs has a right to start saying capital college basketball," he added.

Dan Hurley set to meet a four-star recruit after his White House visit

Dan Hurley and his coaching staff have been busy this offseason recruiting some real talents to join Connecticut. He added Liam McNeeley, a five-star forward, in April.

Hurley's first order of business after returning from the White House will be to pay a visit to Acaden Lewis, a top player in DC.

"UConn coach Dan Hurley and associate HC Kimani Young will visit 2025 target @AcadenLewis today at @SidwellMBB AFTER their visit to the White House," basketball insider Adam Zagoria tweeted.

Lewis, a 6-foot-3 guard for Sidwell Friends School, has narrowed down his college choices to eight: Auburn, Duke, Kentucky, North Carolina, Syracuse, Tennessee, Michigan and UConn. He visited Duke and Syracuse in early August.
