Hanna Cavinder announced her decision to return to college basketball on Wednesday through a social media post. She will be playing for the Miami Hurricanes Women's Basketball team in the 2024-25 season. Just after the announcement, Hanna took to X and posted pictures sporting the Miami jersey, flaunting her new #15.

"My last season of basketball was one of the most successful and challenging yrs of my life but it helped me grow immensely. The past few months I have been itching to get back to the game that I thought I lost the passion for. With that being said, I'm returning for one more season," wrote Hanna in her return announcement.

Hanna, along with her twin sister Haley Cavinder had announced an indefinite break from basketball in 2023. They led the Miami Hurricanes to the Elite Eight in the NCAA tournament that year. Hannah Cavinder averaged 3.8 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game in the 2022-23 season.

In the aforementioned season, Hanna led Miami to the ACC regular season championship victory by scoring 15 points. They defeated Virginia with a scoreline of 85-74 in which she secured five out of seven 3-pointers. She earned All-ACC recognition as well.

Ever since the conclusion of the season she has been focusing on her social media career. She has a massive following on X (currently 4.5 M). As a result, she ended up bagging impressive NIL deals with big companies, such as WWE. The twins together are also associated with Boost Mobile, Victoria's Secret PINK, Raising Cane, and Champs Sports.
