LSU coach Kim Mulkey, along with her players and coaching staff, enjoyed a 10-day cultural and educational trip to Greece and Croatia. They visited Split and Dubrovnik in Croatia, along with Athens and Santorini in Greece.

On Monday, coach Mulkey posted pictures from the trip on her Instagram with the caption:

"Ευχαριστώ, Greece! 🇬🇷"

The translation of the post read "Thank you Greece" (per Google Translate).

LSU Athletics organized this trip in collaboration with International Programs and the Center for Community Engagement, Learning and Leadership. Talking about the tour to The Advocate, Kim Mulkey said:

"It has been a great experience for our team. They are learning about different cultures and how people live in a different part of the world."

Sophomore guard Mikaylah Williams also spoke about the experience and said:

"Everything has been pretty and a different culture. I'm blessed to be able to be overseas with my teammates and enjoy a new culture and appreciate the change of scenery."

Apart from the fun activities, the trip also had educational experiences as the student-athletes learned about the history of Croatia and Greece along with the sports and social dynamics in both countries. They are also reported to receive class credits for their participation.

The LSU Tigers also volunteered to visit children's homes in Athens, where they helped clean the area and spent time with the kids on art projects.

Flau'jae Johnson and the LSU Tigers squad prank Kim Mulkey in Santorini

While they were enjoying the blue waters of Santorini on a boat, the Tigers players, Flau'jae Johnson, Aneesah Morrow, Shy Day-Wilson and Amani Bartlett, decided to pull a prank on coach Kim Mulkey.

Choosing the popular “Just Give Me My Money” trend on TikTok, the players each said the phrase loudly with cheers from the others. However, when it was Mulkey's turn, they all went silent. Although she pretended to walk off in anger, the coach was seen smiling as the players ran to her.

With the trip wrapped up and the players back in Baton Rouge, the Tigers have returned to the gym to prepare for their upcoming season. With Angel Reese in the WNBA and Hailey Van Lith transferring to TCU, the responsibility now falls on Johnson to lead the Tigers to another title. She will be assisted by Aneesah Morrow and Mikaylah Williams.

The LSU Tigers last won the national championship in 2023, and fans expect them to bring it back home this season.
