Flau'jae Johnson was one of the panelists in the recent NFL voting panel on 'BETX Main Stage: Where Black Music Lives'. The event discussed the power of athlete activism and what it helps achieve in the athletic realm. It also talked about the importance of voter engagement.
The LSU star joined the likes of former NFL wide receiver Torry Holt, New Orleans Saints cornerback Will Harris and Orlando Pride forward Simone Charley in the session. Former NFL wide receiver TJ Houshmandzazeh was the moderator of the session.
The panel was put together by Player Coalition, an organization working with athletes for social justice and racial equality in America, alongside BET and NFL Votes. It was able to tackle some of the lingering issues regarding athlete rights and athlete activism in the United States.

Flau'jae Johnson recently released her debut album
Flau'jae Johnson advanced her musical career on Friday with the release of her debut album, Best of Both Worlds. She announced its availability on major streaming platforms via Instagram. The album features a collaboration with renowned rapper Lil Wayne.
“I wanna thank God for the ability to use my voice as a vessel to share his love, light, and positivity,” Flau'jae Johnson wrote on Instagram. “Secondly, I want to thank my mom for sacrificing EVERYTHING to help me chase my dream, I love you for life.”
“Last, but not least, I want to thank MY TEAM, this release was not easy and the hard work isn’t over yet but I want to let y'all know that I appreciate y’all and I see everything!”
Performing under the stage name 'Flau'jae', the LSU guard was inspired to pursue music to carry on her father's legacy as a rapper. While she continues to play the game of basketball, she anticipates significant success in the music industry after her debut album.
Ready to lead LSU in the 2024-25 season
Flau'jae Johnson is set to take a leadership role at LSU next season following the exit of Angel Reese. The Tigers were unable to retain the national title they won in 2023 as they fell to Iowa in the Elite Eight and saw their conference rival South Carolina claim the crown.
Kim Mulkey's team will be hoping to once again lead her team to the ultimate goal in the 2024-25 season, and Johnson will be crucial to achieving this. The guard enters her junior season in the program next season.
