College basketball sensation Hailey Van Lith took another step toward the path of success during the 2024 Paris Olympics. The TCU Horned Frogs star was a part of Team USA's 3X3 women's basketball team. Recently they went on to win the bronze medal at the Paris Olympics, with Van Lith being the only college athlete on any of the USA's basketball teams.
Recently, Hailey Van Lith took to Instagram to share her Olympic experience with her fans on social media. She posted a series of snaps showcasing her time in Paris, making memories and bringing home a medal. One of the snaps showcased her posing with the rest of the USA's 3X3 women's basketball team members while being honored with the bronze medal at the podium.
Hailey Van Lith accompanied the post with a heartwarming caption, where she expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the Olympics.
"THE EGO COULD NEVER TAKE CREDIT FOR WHAT GOD MADE. Thank you God for carrying me to this moment. And thank you God in advance for the journey ahead of me", Hailey Van Lith wrote.
Van Lith began her collegiate career with the Louisville Cardinals in 2020. After three seasons with them, she transferred to play for Kim Mulkey's LSU Tigers ahead of the 2023 season.
Last year, she was a key player on the roster, averaging 11.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game as LSU finished the season with a 31-6 record. They also made it to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. Unfortunately, they were eliminated by the Iowa Hawkeyes. Van Lith then decided to transfer to TCU for her final collegiate campaign this offseason.
Hailey Van Lith expresses contentment after bagging bronze in 2024 Olympics
The USA's 3X3 women's basketball team battled it out with Canada for third place in Paris. With the USA coming out on top, Van Lith expressed her happiness and excitement about winning a medal for her country.
She also expressed gratitude for all the well wishes she received during this journey and stated that she will come back to participate in the Olympics in the future.
"Winning a medal for your country just makes you super proud. Even after the game, I got super emotional," Van Lith said. "There just aren't enough words. You just feel so proud. You're just so thankful for your family and friends and everyone who cheered and supported you. If they will have me again, I'll be back."
While Hailey Van Lith continues her Olympics celebrations, she will also be making preparations for the upcoming season with TCU. It will be interesting to see how she performs in her final college campaign after a successful run with the LSU Tigers last year.
